Not just a Maharashtrian, am as much a Gujarati, Punjabi: Patekar

Actor Nana Patekar said on Tuesday that he cannot limit himself to being a Maharashtrian as that would mean limiting his soul. “I am as much a Gujarati, punjabi or of any other community in the country,” Patekar said at the launch of fellow-actor Sonali Kulkarni’s book So Kul at Crossword in Juhu.

“I should love and respect your language and you should do the same so that all languages flourish and there can be harmony and peace,” he added.
Patekar was the chief guest at the function, where the other guests included theatre veteran Satyadev Dubey, actors Atul Kulkarni, Ajinkya Deo, Soni Razdan, Nina Kulkarni, Divya Jagdale, Dipannita Sharma, Milind Gunaji and Aditi Govitrikar, writer Swanand Kirkire, entrepreneur Kanchan Adhikari, and screenwriter Shiv Subramanium.
