Arshad to direct Priyanka Chopra

Arshad Warsi will now turn director in 2011 and his film will be homage to Amitabh Bachchan in Zanjeer.And though he isn’t saying so on record, his leading lady in Akadd will be Priyanka Chopra. Says Arshad, “I’m ready to direct and the film called Akadd. It will be very realistic quirky action comedy. I won’t be beating up 25 people in the film.

The style of acting, dialogue delivery, the actors’ body language would all be life-like. The heroine’s role is very, very important.” So why isnt his Ishqiya co-star Vidya Balan playing the female lead in Akadd? Laughs Arshad, “I wish. But the role doesn’t suit Vidya at all. We’re looking at someone else.”
