A 12-year-old has alleged she was raped, separately, by nine men over the past two years. One of those she has accused is a cousin, one is a friend of his, another is the 71-year-old father of her teacher, and some are clients of her aunt, who runs a homemade food service.
The cousin and his friend, she told the police, had been blackmailing her into silence with MMS clips. Accompanied by an aunt, she lodged a complaint on Sunday with the Sakinaka police, who arrested four of the accused, including the 71-year-old, Jamnaprasad Sharma, besides Premchand Pandit, 35, Jitendra Yadav, 25, and Vinod Yadav, 27, who were remanded to police custody till March 26.
