Nano goes up in flames in Mumbai

Mumbai: Mulund resident Satish Purshotam Sawant was excited enough to drive home his brand new Tata Nano on Sunday from the dealer. But the excitement did not last long. Sawant’s dream Nano caught fire on the way at Navghar junction.

However, according to the police, none of Sawant’s family members travelling in the car (MH03AW 913) were injured in the incident.“We just managed to get out of the car. The company has taken the car and will investigate the cause of fire,” said Sawant.

The dealer who supplied the car was not available for comment.
