NAVI MUMBAI: A three-month-old baby girl was abandoned on the road at Ghansoli by two men, who immediately fled the scene on a blue motorcycle on Friday afternoon.
According to the Rabale police, residents of Dattanagar in Ghansoli tried to chase and stop the men but the bike-borne duo managed to give them the slip. The incident occurred around 12.30 on Friday afternoon.
The abandoned infant has been admitted to the municipal hospital in Vashi, where she is under treatment, an official said. Further investigations are on to find out about the baby’s parents and to trace them, the official added.
