MUMBAI: A day after the Supreme Court asked him to desist from making provocative speeches targeting north Indians, MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Tuesday said, "I am not opposed to Hindi, but do not force Hindi on us." He was speaking at a function to celebrate the fourth foundation day of his party. In his speech, Raj also demanded that Marathi should be made compulsory in all annoucements at public places, markets, malls/multiplexes and in banks.
Meanwhile, MNS activists attacked Airtel shops in Mumbai and Thane on Tuesday for not using interactive instructions for mobile customers in Marathi.
