CBI traces Dalmiyas' Swiss accounts

Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has traced two Swiss accounts belonging to father-son duo Arun and Harsh Dalmiya, who were arrested in the chief postmaster bribe case.

In the remand submitted to the court, the CBI sought extension of the duo’s custody, saying they needed to investigate the bank transactions. Preliminary investigations revealed there could be at 
least Rs40lakh in the accounts.
Sleuths from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of the CBI are now grilling the two for more details. They were arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs2 crore on behalf of MS Bali, the chief postmaster of Maharashtra and Goa, to issue an NoC to a builder to develop a property for the postal departmentCBI said Dalmiya runs a firm, Watermark Consultants and Finances, with an office at Nariman Point. In this deal, the Dalmiyas were promised a sum of Rs50 lakh, the CBI said.
