Two arrested for robbery in Café Churchill

Mumbai: The police claim to have cracked the Café Churchill robbery which took place on February 14.The Cuffe Parade police arrested two men — Arif Suleiman and Sunil More —and recovered Rs12,000 from them on Monday. Suleiman was arrested from Govandi and More, who works at Radio Club, was nabbed in Colaba.

According to inspector Vilas Bhole of Cuffe Parade police station, the robbers were captured on the CCTVs installed in the café, which helped the police to track them down. “Their images were circulated in all police stations. We went through our police records to ascertain whether they had any past criminal records. That’s when we found that Suleiman was arrested last year in an assault case,” he said.
