39 police officers honoured with police medals

Mumbai: Thirty-nine police officers from across the state were awarded for distinguished and meritorious service by Governor K Sankaranarayanan at Raj Bhavan on Monday morning.
Of the 39 officers, six were bestowed police medals for distinguished service and the remaining were honoured with police medals for their meritorious service.
Home Minister RR Patil, Deputy Chief Minsiter Chhagan Bhujbal, DGP AN Roy, Commissioner of Police D Sivanandhan and additional chief secretary (Home) Chandra Iyengar were present on the occasion.
