One fire officer has died in a fire which broke out at a shopping centre in suburban Borivali.
Twelve fire engines and six water tankers were rushed to Goyal shopping centre located near the Borivali railway station to douse the fire, the officials said adding no casualties were reported.
The reason for the fire was not yet known, they said.
Police have cordoned off the area and diverted vehicular traffic towards arterial roads as the smoke is still visible in the area.
